Herbal Remedies for Aging Skin

Skin is the largest organ of the body and the most visible one too. With aging, the skin thins and loses its elasticity and wrinkles occur. Many factors contribute to aging of the skin which includes pollution, sun exposure, diet and nutrition, stress, improper skincare and smoking.

  • Coconut Milk helps the skin to have a glowing effect. Grate raw coconut and squeeze milk out of it. Apply this coconut milk on the face.
  • Avocado Peels or the pulp helps in keeping the skin looking younger and rejuvenated. Avocado gives a fresh look because of its oily nature.
  • Rub raw potato on areas having marks or pigments.
  • Apply the mixture of glycerin, rose water and lime juice on the skin before going to sleep. This mixture is very effective.
  • Apply a few drops of lemon juice on your skin. This will remove blemishes and help keep away aging marks on the face.
  • Apply the mixture of 1 egg white with 1 tsp of lemon juice and a pinch of salt on the face for 15-20 minutes. This is very effective for wrinkled skin.
  • Apply Vitamin E oil or cod liver oil or castor oil to the discolored area or on the wrinkles. This will fade away the age spots.
  • Drink plenty of water or juices. This help to keep the skin hydrated and flush away toxins.
