Herbal Remedies for Bad Breath

Bad Breath is usually caused by the breakdown of proteins by bacteria. It is an embarrassing problem. Chronic bad breath is known as Halitosis.

Remedies for Preventing Bad Breath

Oral hygiene of the mouth is important. Practice cleaning, brushing and flossing of teeth at least two times a day. This prevents the development of bacteria.

Parsley is a great natural breath freshener. Chewing fresh parsley detoxifies the mouth. It also contains chlorophyll which sweetens the breath.

Aloe Vera is effective in preventing bad breath. Make mouthwash using aloe vera juice. Add 2 tbsp of aloe vera juice to water and gargle at least 2 times a day.

A mixture of baking soda and salt can be used as toothpaste. It neutralizes the acids in the mouth that breakdown VSC which is the main cause of bad breath.
