Spider-Man is a fictional superhero of Marvel Comics. Spiderman was created by writer-editor Stan Lee and writer-artist Steve Ditko for Marvel Comics in 1962. Stan Lee was the youngest editor in the comic book industry. By 1977, Spider-Man became the star and the comic appeared in more than 500 newspapers worldwide. The character first appeared in Amazing Fantasy # 15 which was later renamed Amazing Spider-Man. The first animated Spider-Man television series commenced in 1967.
